In most places, most kids can’t wait until May or June is when school will be let out for the summer and that means most likely you’ll be going on vacation whether that is to Disney World, Grand Canyon, or even traveling out of the country and while traveling out of the country you always should be vigilant about your surroundings not necessarily meaning that you should avoid traveling to countries like Canada, and Mexico.
For the most part visiting Canada or Mexico, the country is safe to visit much like the rest of the United States, although there are certain parts of the country that are more prone to higher levels of crime, civil unrest, just like here in the United States. The mass majority of people traveling to either countries have a fantastic vacation and only come back with fantastic memories and pictures, some may have a few extra pick ups like coming over from a hangover because they drank too much or they chose to eat too much food and regretting that they ate so much delicious food that when they go to weigh themselves, they’re going to be shocked.
How could we forget the most common problem that most travels will be facing and it’s usually at the airport, for the most part when people travel to another country, usually their travel goes without any issues other than maybe a few delays at the airport but other than that, the trip goes without a hitch.
Whenever you travel abroad, whether that is visiting Canada, Mexico, or any other country they will require a passport to be presented upon entry, as the same way upon re-entering the United States.
The United States allows foreigners to enter the United States for various reasons, such as tourist, student, and worker visa that each carry certain restrictions and determine the length of the person stay as these are temporary the United States also has something more permanent which is called a green card holder and they are treated much like a naturalized born citizen, although there are a few restrictions and last is naturalized born citizen’s that has the fewest restrictions.
Tourist and tourist visa: in general terms, if you plan on visiting the United States for a short period of time, 90 days or less you don’t need to obtain a tourist visa however if you plan on visiting the United States for 90 days or more than you would need to obtain a tourist visa.
A student visa allows anyone who is enrolled in a higher education like a college university to attend school here which allows the student to say in the United States, as long as they are currently enrolled. If a student wishes to work, they would need to obtain permission.
A workers permit or a workers visa, depending on how you wish to call it allows a person from another country to be able to come into the United States and work, much like a student visa, as long as a person is employed they are allowed to say here in the United States.
regardless of the type of visa that you have, whether it’s a tourist, student or workers visa, any crimes committed other than a minor traffic offenses could result in the visa being revoked in which you would then be required to self-deport or face an order for removal and be barred from returning to the United States For limited time or possibly permanently, depending on the type of crime committed.
someone who obtained a visa, depending on the type of visa that you have a person who obtain a visa is not permitted to be able to vote, they are also further restricted on what the mechanic cannot do.
Green card : a green card holders or also called as permanent resident card holders, unlike the verses that we have mentioned above those are temporary and they have special conditions and restrictions. Green card holders are much like US citizens that allow A person to work and live and even attend school without Having to meet the requirements that A Visa card holder would have. Green card holders have much benefits as a US citizen. Green card holders are also called lawful US citizens but there’s a difference in naturalized citizen and US born citizen. In short terms, green cardholders are not permitted to vote, hold any public office and cannot obtain a US passport.
Naturalized born citizens: A naturalized born citizen has the fewest restrictions when it comes to working, schooling and living in the United States, they also do not have to meet any requirements Such as attending school full-time, Being employed, and having leave the United States as they are a citizen of the United States, they also can hold a passport, vote, hold public office with the exception of vice president and president.
A natural born citizen: A natural born citizen is a person who is born here in the United States. They have almost no restrictions in which they can do everything as a naturalized or citizen, they can hold public office, even be becoming vice president or president of the United States.
so why is this important covering this and what does this have to do with the family that is now stuck in Canada?
I think it’s important to cover different ways. People can get into the United States and understand what rights and privileges each group has.
