When you look back at these four classic TV shows each of them in a unique way covered many of the issues that we still have today. While each show had a different time period many of them covered some incredibly serious issues that unfortunately is not a thing of the past we still have those serious issues today. Let’s take a look at some of them:

Marriage problems

Harriet Olsen and Nels Olsen both got into a very heated family squabble, which we both decided to temporarily separate where Nels decided to stay at a hotel, Edith and Archie Bunker both had issues that lead them to Temporarily separate, and Roseanne and Dan Connor had issues as well and in all three cases the kids where in the middle, Although for Edith and Archie Bunker, Gloria, their daughter, she was was in her mid 20s and she and her Husband, Mike Civic they also had issues as well that Lead them to temporarily separate as well. While theses are just sit calm because usually after an episode, they somehow make peace with each other and live happily together again it still covered a real issues that Family still faced that issue today.

Inappropriate conduct with children and Rape:

On Little House on the Prairie they covered a very serious issue while not going into Graphic details they did cover an issues that Unfortunately, it still goes on today. In one of the episodes, I believe Sylvia, she was a victim where the blacksmith had tried to rape her but Albert, Charles Ingles adopted son stepped in.

On all of the family a very much similar incident happened to Gloria, Gloria was walking past a Construction that she thought Nobody was working when she says that she someone Attempted to rape her. When she got home (The bunker is home at the time) she told Edith and Edith was greatly upset, although Edith wanted to tell Archie and Michael but Gloria had asked that they not find out but latter in the Episode did finally tell her husband, Michael about the incident and Archie, which both of them were angry, but yet Gloria do not think it was necessary to report it. As she thought they would not catch the attacker and she would be shamed.

Jobs and money issues

A little house on the Prairie, Charles Ingles, who worked for the lumberyard who is owned by Mr. Hansen Originally was going to receive a huge contract I believe from the railroad company but due to economical difficulties the Railroad company had to cancel the contract which this had a trickle down in effect followed by Many of the people who lived in Walnut Grove also suffered a bad crop Season, which means that they could not sell much of their crop ultimately Forcing many of the residents To move to other areas in order to look for work. With many of the residents having to leave Walnut Grove temporarily it also forced the Mercantile to close as well where the Olson’s had to.

Little house on the Prairie Took place in the time period of the 1860s and All in the Family Took place in the 1970s, but when you really compare many of the topics that they had covered throughout the series, the both of them covered, gossip, bullying, racism, sexism, poverty,

both took place back in the 1860s and all of the family Took place in 1970s, but When you compare the two TV shows, both of them did cover in a way the same topics were racism, Bullying, Poverty was not a thing of the past, it was very much Alive and well.

going back to the 1860 and even further back it showed that American life was more simpler, but it also was much harder and they dealt with some of the issues like racism, eminent domain, gossip, bullying, Poverty as as we very much have those issues still today?

taking those exact same issues all in the family covered a lot of these issues and even
