ByteDance‘s family of websites all back online, but still cannot download the apps form Google Play Store, App Store, and Amazon StoreThe main focus has been on ByteDance and TickTok, but their are other websites and apps that ByteDance owns and they also where not exempt form the ban that officially went into effect at midnight, Sunday, January 19, 2025. ByteDance (bytedance.com) (ONLINE) ByteDance’s website is online, it appears that this is their corporate website although what I do find kind of strikingly interesting is they don’t mention anything about or least they don’t make it easy to find any of their products and brands like TikTok, CapCut, Lemon8, etc. TikTok (tiktok.com) (ONLINE) TikTok is back online, you can access TikTok from any web browser as you normally would and if you have the app already installed, you can use the app as you normally would, however the app remains unavailable in the Google play store, App Store for Apple, Microsoft Store and for Amazon store TikTok does not appear to have been removed but is currently geographically blocked in the United States. TikTok Studio is like YouTube studio that allows a user to create a live video feed and administer the live video feed and other settings, you can download the TikTok studio for Windows. CapCut (capcut.com) (ONLINE) This was an online and offline free video editing suite however as of Sunday, January 19, 2025 the site was not available but is now back online. ![]() Screenshot Lemon8 (lemon8-app.com) (ONLINE) I’m not exactly entirely sure what lemon8 is, but on the homepage lemon8-app.com, the site says lemon eight is powered by TikTok. Based on the photo they have uploaded on the main page. It looks like it is a mixture of Instagram and Pinterest. They have an app that is available for iOS and android users, but I would imagine that the apps available for Apple in the App Store and Google Play Store is removed. Since the main site is available, I would imagine maybe if those who have the app they are able to login and continue to use the app as it normally would. Hypic (hypic.app) (ONLINE) Assuming that I have the correct website that is owned by ByteDance, Hypic is a an AI (artificial intelligence) website that allows the user to enter a word or words and to tell the AI a setting and based on that setting the user wants the I will create that into an image. For example I said WQYU.COM in the clouds and the website gave me exactly what I had asked for. While the picture that it gave me looks incredibly basic, I suppose if you told the AI to do something more sophisticated and complex it would give you something much more nicer than what is being presented here, but this is just an example to illustrate what the site does when told what you want. ![]() Screenshot Lark (larksuite.com) (ONLINE) Lark looks like a collaboration, video conferencing and scheduling suite, the suite also includes Lark – Team Collaboration, Lark – Rooms Display, and Lark Rooms Controller Gauth: AI Study Companion (gauthmath.com) (ONLINE) Gauth is a website allows user to be able to upload a math problem and the website would then solve the math problem. Following ByteDance‘s voluntarily taking down TikTok and other sites they own, they have resorted most of them, the site has been restored. MARVEL SNAP (ONLINE) The creation of animated cartoons, and videos, it seems the site was a fan site to play some of the games. I am not sure if MARVEL SNAP and MARVEL is the same or are they completely separate, but they just share the same names “MARVEL”. MARVEL SNAP seems to be the Chinese version, while MARVEL, seems to be the United States version that remains available and is associated with Disney. ![]() Screenshot |
