Coronavirus 19 a.k.a. COVID-19 isn’t going anywhere it doesn’t mean you have to stop living, just be proactive.

/ March 20, 2026

as days turn into weeks and weeks turned into months and months turned into years COVID-19 is going to be with us but that does not mean you have to stop living completely it just means you have to be proactive. several countries are easing restrictions or completely eliminating them all together and some countries are even declaring the pandemic officially over.

well some people are extremely thrilled to hear this other people fear that it is only a matter of time before COVID-19 comes back and strikes again. regardless of what your government is choosing to do or not to do including businesses you have the absolute control of the health and well-being of your own self to make your health decisions. your health is really your responsibility.

while I am not a medical expert, simply using common sense is needed.

Technology:

many people have chosen to opt in to be alerted if they have been exposed to someone with having COVID-19, so this way you can get tested early to self isolate.

CURRENTLY SUSPENDED: As I was writing this article, upon visiting the website that you could visit in order free COVID-19 in-home testing kits unfortunately has been suspended as of September 2, 2022 as the website says Congress has not yet allocated more money to this program. If and when Congress does provide more money to this program, if you haven’t done already you should order the at home test kit. The website is https://covidtests.gov. (your local health department may have at home test kits available for pick up, so check with your local health department.)

If you ordered a test kit prior to September 2, 2022 and he suspect you may have been exposed to COVID-19 be sure to test to confirm. if you test positive for COVID-19 you should self isolate and as always if you think you need medical attention, then seek medical attention.

additional proactive ways that you can reduce your exposure.

get the COVID-19 vaccination and stay up-to-date with the booster shots when available.

avoid all nonessential travel and limit the amount of outings.

avoid large crowds or gatherings

Wear a mask, for the mask to be effective, make sure that it is securely tight around your mouth and nose.

Frequently disinfect commonly touched or used surfaces such as countertops, door knobs, light switches, telephones, elevator buttons, etc.

personal items such as not limited to wallet, cell phone, Credit cards, purses should be disinfected frequently.

frequently wash your hands especially before engaging in any of the following but not limited to: preparing/handling food, eating, brushing your teeth, taking medication, etc

do not touch your face, put your hands in your mouth, nose or eyes, until you have thoroughly washed your hands.

If you plan on traveling to another city, state or even country be sure to check to see what the cOVID-19 average case numbers are. if you can avoid going to any area where there’s a high Number of COVID-19 cases.

if you choose to use commercial/public transportation such as an airplane, train or bus yiu can find out if they have any COVID-19 safeguards in place. The same thing with hotels.
