Do you search your domain name i.e. wqyu.com just to see what comes up?
Once in a while, I like to search my domain name in Google, Bing, Brave, Yahoo search just to see what the results are and one of the search results from Google I think it’s actually kind of cool. A website called fandom.com Allows people to create subdomain to create their own Wikipedia style publications and somebody decided to create a site about Fictional TV stations where if some of the towns or villages with 3,500 people or less had their own television stations licensed to those cities.
The person who created this community of fictional TV stations I guess saw that WQYU call letters is available for registration by a licensed TV or radio station by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) who is Responsible for making sure that licensed TV stations and radio stations do not cause interference with each other and also ensure that devices don’t cause interference and make sure that people are not broadcasting on the airways without being licensed as it could cause interference. Broadcasting on the airways without being licensed is considered to be pirate radio/Television However, there is an exception for certain devices to broadcast if they comply with part 15 of the FCC regulations. For the purpose of this article, we won’t get into any of the rules and regulations and the part 15 exception. When I say that WQYU Is available for registration. This means that someone can register the call letters WQYU With the FCC, but not the Domain name as this is already taken. We do not call or referred to ourselves as WQYU-TV, as we are Not a licensed TV station, we are WQUY.COM
Okay, back to the article. A wiki style community on fandom.com Is made up of fictional TV stations and I see that someone decided to create WQYU-TV and they made The fictional TV station a fox affiliate (Network) along with the channels MyNetworkTV/TBD, stadium, Comet and Charge!. According to fandom, they say that first broadcast was in 1982, this fictional station is a little older than I am in real life, and The TV station is based in Hartsville, New York, a very rural part of New York, even more rural than where I live in.
I am curious to see what ratings this fictional television station would receive? What the television station receive good ratings, bad ratings? Would the viewers be happy with what is broadcasting on the air?
