Tuesday, January 28, 2025 marks the first White House press briefing with Karoline Leavitt, White House press secretary. During the first White House press briefing, Karoline Leavitt, White House press secretary, announce that the Trump administration is welcoming new members to the White House press briefing instead of just the traditional news media outlets.

Independent journalist, social media influencers, or anyone who produces legitimate news content can apply for White House press briefing access at https://whitehouse.gov/newmedia.

Criteria:

  • You must apply online at https://whitehouse.gov/newmedia.
  • You are currently not employed by any news outlet media organization that already has a seat at the White House press briefing room.
  • You are responsible for travel arrangements and lodging if applicable.
  • You produce legitimate news content.

Note: During the White House press briefing, this is a criteria that has been published. There may be some additional criteria that you must meet that has not been published.

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Primary social account
  • Phone number
  • ZIP Code
  • News outlet if applicable

Once you have entered the required information, click on submit and within a reasonable amount of time you should hear it back from them probably to provide additional information.
