It is 2024 and Inbox Dollars has been around since 2000, that’s 24 years ago when they launched. Inbox Dollars has been around for 24 years, so there are definitely a seasoned company that were able to get a real good opinion on them unlike some of the newer companies that they haven’t had any time really to prove themselves.
I decided to break up my review into different categories to make it easier to flow through the review.

To sign up with Inbox Dollars, no credit card or financial information it’s ever asked, nor do you ever have to pay any type of fee. It’s 100% free to sign up.
During the registration process, you will be required to provide a valid email address that must be verified by clicking on a verification link, a password, and agree to the terms and privacy policy.
Surveys:
Unlike most traditional survey panels, or after you have completed the sign up process, you’ll go through a welcome process we’re all new members will answer various questions in various categories, vehicle, house, foods, entertainment, clothing, shopping, etc. so that way this information can be stored in your profile and be used to best match you with surveys that you have a 80 to 90% chance of qualifying for which saves you time without having to waste your time in trying to take a survey that you have a 0 to 10% chance of qualifying for.
Just a side note: Even if you complete the welcome process by answering various questions in various categories in order to build your profile, if they send you a survey invitation, thinking that your chances are pretty high in qualifying for the survey it does not mean it is a guarantee that you are going to qualify. This applies to this website and really any survey panel.
There seems to be no limit on the number of surveys you can qualify for which means you can take survey after survey after survey. If you don’t qualify for a survey, you have the option to continue to try and until you qualify for a survey after you qualify for a survey you can continue to try to qualify for another one and repeat the same process over and over.
I don’t know if this is a random thing or if this is something that has always been like this or if this is something new that they are rolling out on all new people and eventually will roll out to everyone. It seems to me that if you are a new member, you can try to complete most surveys however, some surveys you won’t have a chance to be able to try to complete unless you verify your account by entering your phone number, and receiving a text message with a four digit number in order to unlock all surveys that are being made available on the website.
Heads up! When you are asked to verify your account by entering a mobile phone number and you’re thinking about using a disposable phone number DO NOT because when it comes to redeeming, a.k.a. cashing out, you’ll need to provide that exact number that you used in order to Verify your account the first time and if the disposable phone number that you were using a couple days ago, months ago, etc. it’s no longer available you will not be able to cash out. If you contact customer service, don’t expect them to change your phone number unless you provide a government issued ID to a third-party verifier that they have partnered with.
Other ways of making money:
Besides completing surveys, there are other ways that you can earn money which can range from one or two pennies up to $500 if you meet all the requirements, here are some of the ways you can earn money, besides just taking surveys:
Searching:
If you use their search engine each time you perform a search, you will receive credit what you must receive for credits in order for the small slider to move up until you reach the threshold to scratch off a scratch ticket, which are usually earn one or two pennies, or you can continue to work up to the next scratch off ticket for a chance to earn a little bit more.
Offers:
They offer a quite extensive catalog of various offers, ranging from 100% free where no credit card is required, to completing a task in which all the requirements must be met, or you can choose to complete an offer that does require a credit card.
Completing daily tasks:
Each day, you have the opportunity to earn three pennies and a maximum of 10 pennies if you complete the task within 24 hours, each day it resets. Completing task it does not matter which order just as long as you complete five or all of them. Five is minimum in which you will receive three pennies and if you complete all the tasks you’ll receive $.10.
Daily poll:
Each day they have a poll which will ask a question, and you have to select an answer.
Win-it:
The win-it is a way for each member to earn one or two pennies by entering a phrase that is their Facebook and Twitter page. Each day there is a new phrase posted to their social media account so be sure to check their social social media count at least once a day.
Play games:
You have the opportunity to play games which will do two things, it will help you complete part of the daily task, and you will also receive some credit that will move you closer to the threshold in order to unlock a scratch ticket.
Cashing out:
All new members receive a welcome bonus of five dollars deposited into their account when you click on rewards it says that you must earn $15 before you can redeem even though some people say they can redeem at five or $10, so what’s up with this?

If you choose to cash out at five dollars, the availability of rewards is extremely limited, if you cash out at $10 the availability of rewards is quite extensive and it’s pretty common across multiple survey panels that $10 is usually the minimum threshold in order for someone to cash out.
Heads up! Once you reached a minimum threshold in order to cash out whether that is $15 because you’re a new member or five or $10 for existing members, who’ve already cashed out once they seem to take quite some time in order to process the virtual gift card compared to other survey panels where most of them pretty much give it instantaneously.
I don’t understand why it would take them more than a few hours to issue a virtual gift certificate to whatever the store that you chose to get a gift certificate for the same thing would apply to a virtual credit card that’s prepaid. I could certainly understand if they had to physically mail something to you Where they have to take the order, create a shipping label, package up what you had requested and then wait for the item to be delivered. Compared to other survey panels. I think they have to be probably one of the slowest, when I certainly think it should be issued within 10 minutes or less, not three days or more.
I GOT PAID! On Monday, January 1, 2024 I requested to receive an Amazon gift card which shortly after placing my order I received a confirmation email that they have successfully received my order and they will notify me when my order is ready. Around 12 AM Eastern time I received an email from them saying that my Amazon gift card is ready for me to redeem which I was able to successfully get the Amazon gift card code and add it into my account without any issues.
Help pages and customer service:
The self-help pages that Inbox Dollars has is neatly categorized into different categories, which makes it a bit easier into finding what you’re looking for to see if the issue that you are facing has already been addressed, and what steps need to be done in order to resolve the issue.
Some issues can be resolved without needing assistance with customer service. Unfortunately, there are some issues that you do need customer service assistance and I think it is wonderful that they utilize Zendesk, a service that managed to help Pages and also support tickets. Will you open the support ticket? You are limited to 400 characters at first you can always go to the support ticket after it’s been created and add more details.
When you do receive a response from customer service, you are notified via email and you always have the option to go through Inbox Dollars website as well.
I personally think that customer service as far as a response you get from somebody I think it’s definitely lacking. It seems to me that most issues they come up with basically a very genetic response that says pretty much exactly the same thing which I think is kind of Annoying especially if you ask a few questions.
Pretty much in the genetic response that you get from them is in order for them to further assist you in your request you have to submit a government issued photo ID to a third-party that they have partnered with in order to verify your identity. While I think this is great on some things that you want to verify someone’s identity, I certainly don’t think verifying identity and pretty much all cases is needed or warranted.
Conclusion of what I think of them:
If I would give them a rating from one star being atrocious and five stars being excellent, I would give them three (3) stars, I think they’re average. There are definitely some things that meet or exceed my expectations, but then there are some things that barely meet or exceeded my expectations witch is why I give them three stars.
I think once you reach the minimum threshold, and if you were choosing to receive a virtual gift card like an Amazon gift card that will be emailed to you, than it should be issued within 10 minutes, not having to wait and wait for it.
I think if you do not qualify for a survey, they should least give you $.10 or something, especially if you’re halfway through the survey and a survey tells you one of the following: you do not qualify or that the survey has reached its quota. Thankfully, this is not happened too often at least for me. Usually, I am disqualified right away, while that is disappointing I am at least happy that I waste my time taking a survey only to be qualified at the very end, or the survey has reached the quota.
I would like to see more of a actual response to address issues instead of giving some cut and pasted answer and I also don’t think that every single issue should involve verifying my identity by providing a third-party with a government issued ID.
I would recommend them as a way to make a little cash for spending or using toward buying small gifts but not to get rich. Sorry they don’t pay that much.
