Is Personal Injury Court real or fake or based on real litigations just being re-enacted for TV?

/ November 20, 2019

I’m sure by now you have watched at least one or two episodes of the new TV show called “Personal Injury Court” with Judge Gino Brogdon presiding, where he must decide based on what the evidence is presented before him on who is at fault, if anyone is at fault.

For some reason I have been watching almost all of the episodes, but after a few episodes I started to get the suspicion that the show might be reenactments because a few things just don’t make sense especially when the plaintive is seeking damages in half $1 million, $10 million or more.

Here are a few observations that I made to come to the conclusion that this TV show is based on actual court cases but just being reenacted for television and of course probably some names and evidence has been changed.

  • No way would someone come to court seeking half or a million or more without any without any type of legal counsel present.
  • Lacking key peace evidence such as but not limited to any medical records, bills (past that have been paid for already and that are still outstanding), and doctor notes.
  • I would imagine if you are seeking a half $1 million-$1 million or more you would definitely want to have expert witnesses in court to prove negligence that the defendant is guilty so my question is why so many of these plaintiffs don’t have any expert witnesses present? I would also imagine that the defendant would also want to have an expert witness present to prove that they are not negligent and that the defI would imagine if you are seeking a half $1 million-$1 million or more you would definitely want to have expert witnesses in court to prove negligence that the defendant is guilty so my question is why so many of these plaintiffs don’t have any expert witnesses present? I would also imagine that the defendant would also want to have an expert witness present to prove that they are not negligent and that the plaintive is negligent and they cause there injuries themselves.
  • Speaking of plaintiffs some of the plaintiffs injuries look incredibly severe so how are they able to travel from where they are to the court room?
  • Unlike on Judge Judy when they show diagrams they show street names and intersections which are able to find out what city and state the incident occurred in, why is it on Personal Injury Court none of that ever disclosed?
  • Some of the plaintiffs and defendants claim that they are popular on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram but interesting when you search their name nothing shows up furthermore there was a Radio station call letters KRUD, but surprisingly interesting that radio station doesn’t exist according to the FCC. Even if the radio station had previously existed there would have been some type of evidence still circulating online.
  • Finally a judge would not be able to hear any hearsay, The plaintiff or the defendant including any witnesses can’t say what someone said if they are not present in court.

Based on the observations that I had post above I would say it’s probably safe to say that Personal Injury Court is based on actual court cases that have already taken place so the rulings are already predetermined. As far as the litigants such as the plaintiffs defendants and even the witnesses I believe they are hired actors just for that show, because some of the injuries that they have I honestly don’t believe any doctor would recommend them to fly anywhere has any turbulence could cause further injuries and possibly even death. I also don’t think any airline would permit them to be able to fly.

Even though the TV show is based on actual court cases it would be nice if at the beginning they would fully disclose this because in a way I felt misled to believe that this was a real TV show but instead it is based on actual real court cases furthermore I don’t think they should change anything because it would be interesting to read what the actual lawsuit and the outcome.
