Move on over “here comes the bus”, cuz “here comes the package”. UPS has a new tracking feature to track your package in almost a real time. Here Comes the Bus” is a relatively new feature that schools can enroll in to help students and parents track the location of their school bus in real time. Each bus is equipped with a GPS tracker, which provides accurate updates on the bus’s location. This allows parents to be better informed about when the bus will arrive to pick up or drop off their child. This feature is especially useful for parents of elementary and middle school students, who may need more supervision during their commute. While it may be less critical for high school students, it still offers added convenience and peace of mind for both students and parents alike. I would imagine if parents want to be in the know of exactly where the child’s bus is they would need to verify that they are the parent or legal guardian based on what the information the school has on file. Looks like UPS has also adopted something very similar to “Here comes the bus”, instead of tracking a school bus, UPS is allowing customers to be able to not only track their package the traditional way but allowing customers to track where their package is and how close they are into receiving their package. Track the package: If this feature is not available to you one or two things could be the reason, you will not see this link that says “Follow on a Live Map” until the day your package is scheduled if you delivered and that it is on the truck. Another possible reason is the sender did not add your phone number when they created the shipping label. UPS may be able to give you access assuming that you can verify the information of where the packages originating from i.e. the sender and the where the package is going to be delivered. This feature is free at no additional cost. You do not need to create a UPS account, you can use this feature as a guest. Go to UPS’s website and enter your tracking number. On the page to track your package you will see a link that says “Follow on a Live Map”, tap or click on this link. Please refer to the screenshot below. (This link will be posted under the delivery window, but only will be displayed on the date that it specifies when the package will be delivered and if the sender entered your phone number at the time they created the shipping label.) ![]() Tap or click on continue as guest.
