YouTube policy training course rolling out slowly but when available what to expect?

/ March 20, 2026

I’m not sure exactly why YouTube is deciding to slowly rolling out the YouTube policy training course that after successfully completing the training course, you can then have a warning expire after I believe 90 days instead of the warning remaining on your account indefinitely.

Who will be able to access YouTube policy training course?

As for now it is only being made available to those who have an alleged violation where they have been issued a community guideline warning, if you do not have a warning, then this will not be made available to you. If you do have a community guideline warning and you do not see the option to take the training course it will hopefully be made available to you soon, YouTube seems to be rolling this out slowly instead of making this available to everyone all at once.

Will I be able to have the warning removed off of my account?

YES! After successfully completing the YouTube policy training course it will then activate the countdown to when the YouTube community guideline warning will expire.

If I received a YouTube community guideline strike, does this apply as well?

I’m not sure if you’ll be able to take the YouTube policy training course to have the community guideline strike removed however unlike warnings that do not expire, strikes on the other hand do expire weather you take no action or not.

If I receive a community guideline warning, would I be able to appeal the warning?

Both community guidelines warnings and strikes you always have the option to appeal, there is no penalty if you appeal and it is denied a.k.a. rejected.

What if YouTube remove my video due to a copyright takedown request?

If YouTube received a copyright takedown request, I believe this is completely different as this was not done by YouTube but at the request of the copyright owner or a person acting on behalf of the copyright owner that is authorized.

If your video was removed by the Content ID system than you can appeal and If you’re appeal is rejected there is no penalty and this will count as a warning if it is your first time, strike if its your second time.
